Your RV likely comes with plenty of features that make it comfortable and safe to live in. However, you may not be thrilled by the palette of grays and browns that RV manufacturers tend to use in order to make their campers appealing to most people. Also, the space may feel very sterile without any personal touches.
Fortunately, it’s really easy to decorate your RV’s interior to your liking. Try some of the tips below to customize your space.
Grow Houseplants
Even if you don’t have a green thumb, you can add some greenery to your RV. Small succulents or air plants in wall-mounted hangers can bring some freshness to your interior. A hanging basket of flowers can be put outside your RV when you’re parked to create a welcoming exterior.
If you’re feeling savvier or you miss your garden back home, cultivate some herbs in a kitchen planter so you can use them while cooking. Make sure that any plants are in plastic containers so they don’t shatter and secure them while the RV is in motion.
Add Color
When you’re picking out your pillows, curtains, plants, and dishes, try and coordinate your colors. Pick a simple range of complementary colors and shop within that range. For a contemporary chic feel, try black, white, and red. If you want your home on the road to feel more cozy, try some softer pastels. Whichever colors you choose, try to coordinate and tie the aesthetic of your RV together.
Add Lighting
The lighting in your average RV is sterile and cold as it’s meant to be functional, not fashionable. One quick fix is to swap out LED lights for warm incandescent bulbs wherever you can. You can also add your own lighting so long as you’re careful about it.
